The urgency and severity of climate change impacts compel us to conduct a more in-depth analysis about the extent of this phenomenon on everyday life. Through an inter- and transdisciplinary approach, with a focus on the fields of medical and political anthropology, we aim to highlight the issues of political and social justice that lie behind a technocratic view of climate change. The effects of the climate crisis on health will be investigated through the analysis of ethnographic researches, highlighting how these effects are unevenly distributed and embodied. In this paper, we will address issues regarding adaptation, mitigation, health and body in the climate change debate. Where do the boundaries between adaptation and coping mechanisms lie, and how is the body situated within these processes? We propose to revisit the notion of vulnerability as a bridging, multiscale concept, through which bodily experiences, social inequalities, and political-environmental processes can be jointly analyzed. An anthropological perspective will be needed, capable of linking the global scale and lived experience, in order to develop contextualized, equitable, and transformative climate and health policies.
